These days you can easily rent and buy video games online. The problem is where do you get the best deal?
What I like to do is to find a video game rental store that offers a free trial. Preferably something with no risk to you at all. Some place that will send me a game and take it back without costing me anything.
I don't know about you, but I like to play a game for awhile before I buy. I used to hang out in some of the stores with video game consoles on display, you know the kind, the ones with a game loaded up into it with the unit set up so the customers could play it. The ones with a thousand little kids trying to play it all at once.
I used to stand in line to play those games, and then I could only play for a short time till someone else wanted to play. What a waste!
But, not any more, not for me. I'm grown up now, and my tastes are a little more sophisticated.
Now I find stores where I can rent and buy video games with no obligation at all. I can usually get them for a week or more which is plenty of time to decide if I want the game or not.
When I find one I like I can just keep it and they will charge me a rental fee, and buy video games I really like a lot.
On top of that, I can have my friends over to try the game too. It becomes a great social occasion where we talk about the merits and down sides to the games. And, it helps to have others to help me decide if the game is worth the price, worth renting or just play it for awhile for free and send it back
There's nothing like having a great video game you really like. It's even better if you can find out if you like it or not before you rent and buy video games.
One of the best rent and buy video game stores I've found is GameFly. I recommend you give them a try. After all, what have you got to lose?
